I had the pleasure of attending the Menifee Moms Meet Up gathering this past Monday morning, and I’m writing this article today to tell you more about my experience.
This article is not sponsored; this is being posted as a free resource for families in Menifee. The club featured in this article is also free and based entirely on the work of volunteers.

Why Join a Social Club for Moms?
Many moms go through a season of feeling isolated from society as they work hard each day to take care of their families. That is why so many moms in Menifee choose to attend this event each Monday morning to meet new people and start the week off with a fresh outlook and good vibes.
Another reason to join a local mom community gathering is to get the kids out of the house and socializing with other kids their age. This has always been super important to my son as he has been an only child his whole life, and he loves to run around and play with kids his age.
What is Menifee Moms Meet Up?
Created 7 years ago by Lauren Julia Dietrich as a Facebook Group for local Menifee Moms, this club grew to become a wonderful community asset to families of all walks of life.
Now, the group of women meets weekly to discuss family life, books they are reading, and support each other as moms going through the chaotic years of raising a family.
Keep reading to see all the offerings from this local group of women.
1 ~ Weekly Gatherings and Social Community
The key feature that makes this Facebook Group different from others is the fact that they meet every week, rain or shine. Lauren always shows up for her fellow moms, and if the weather is bad, that doesn’t stop these ladies at all. They simply choose to meet at an indoor location instead for that week; examples of previous locations are donut and coffee shops, or a member’s home if one is available.
I held lengthy conversations with many of the key members and a few brand new members of this group on Monday, and everybody was excited to meet me and tell me how much fun they had/or were having at this event.
Many women spoke highly of the founders and said they felt they had made friends for life simply by showing up and participating in conversations each week.
2 ~ Coffee and Conversations
The coffee is fresh, and the snacks are too! Staple members bring specific snacks each week. A few examples include freshly-baked bread, finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, coffee (of course!), and small bagged snacks for the kids and parents to enjoy.
While everyone has a bite to eat, they also enjoy some engaging conversations with anyone around. There was not a quiet moment at this event. Once members showed up, they brought the picnic area at Spirit Park to life with the sounds of conversation and laughter.
3 ~ Fun time for your kids
While the moms socialize and get to know each other or catch up on life, the kids fill the playground with laughter and screams of excitement. Many pop in and out of the picnic area for small snacks and water breaks before immediately returning to the playground to enjoy the sunshine and outdoors.
A few of the kids enjoyed picking cherries from the public trees and hunting for random treasures on the playground. Some of the girls enjoy selling lemonade and snacks each week to build their entrepreneurial skills.
The age of kids attending ranges from newborn to teens, and they all have very respectful and kind personalities. Many kids watch out for each other on the playgrounds, helping little ones slide or swing if needed.
4 ~ Optional Book Club
Each week, Lauren (Founder of the club) will hand out a typed sheet of paper to anyone reading along with the book club activities. They try to go through 1 chapter of a book at home each week, then discuss the highlights at the event.
The discussion was very engaging, and I felt the mutual respect and love these women have for each other during this time of the event. Everyone chimed in and participated, and the flow of conversation was very authentic and natural.
5 ~ Optional Spiritual Guidance
Lauren attends church at Faith Bible Church, and she invites anyone interested to visit and see what this church has to offer the residents of Menifee. But if Sunday morning service isn’t your thing, you can still get plenty of spiritual guidance from the women who engage in this group on Monday mornings at the park.
6 ~ Other Fun Events Hosted by This Group
Lauren (founder of this group) stated that this group has many events throughout the year that moms in the area find helpful, one of the biggest events is a clothing donation/swap. This event is held at an indoor facility, and there are thousands of pounds of clothes donated/taken by families whose children have outgrown their current size.
The group also hosts many fun family events like Easter Egg Hunts, Trunk-or-Treats, and Kids Craft Days, and they even schedule group field trips to SeaWorld and other nearby attractions a few times per year.
