About Friends of the Sun City Library
The Friends of the Sun City Library is a non-profit organization with deep roots in the Menifee community. The bookstore is celebrating its 45th anniversary next month in April. This used bookstore is completely run by dedicated volunteers that have provided many years of service.
“Every dollar raised through the bookstore and the monthly bag sales goes directly back to the library. Those funds support the free community programs the Sun City Library offers to residents throughout the year.” A bookstore volunteer told me when I was inquiring about the operation.
Community members can also join the Friends of the Sun City Library for an annual fee of $15. Like the sale proceeds, membership fees go to the library. Members are invited to quarterly meetings featuring guest speakers from across the community. Many residents find it to be a worthwhile addition to their community involvement as it keeps them connected to local civic life.
