Recently, I took a drive through our rapidly expanding city, mapping out the new storefronts, services, and restaurants setting up shop. Menifee is growing, and with that growth comes both massive opportunity and unique challenges for local business owners. As I spoke with business owners of all different industries, one clear theme emerged. Succeeding here requires more than just a good product. It requires genuine community connection.
That is exactly where the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce comes into the picture. If you want to elevate your visibility, increase your foot traffic, and build real loyalty with the people of Menifee, understanding the role of the Chamber is the perfect place to start.
Connecting Businesses with Resources
At its core, the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce acts as the primary bridge between local businesses and the broader community. Not just an administrative building with a sign on the door. Our local chamber office on New Hub Drive is an active, thriving hub of economic development, turning the wheels of our business community. The Chamber exists to champion the success of local enterprises, offering tools, resources, and platforms that empower you to share your unique business story.
For small and medium-sized businesses, the Chamber provides localized expertise. They understand that what works in a neighboring coastal city might not resonate here. Instead, they focus on strategies and initiatives tailored to our local culture, helping you grow with true community pride.

Business Networking and Advocacy
One of the most effective ways to establish your brand is simply to show up. The Chamber makes this incredibly easy by hosting a steady calendar of events designed to foster community support and collaborative growth.
I have seen firsthand the impact of their “Wake Up Menifee” morning meetings and “Evening Business Socials.” These gatherings are not formal, rigid corporate affairs. They are genuine opportunities to engage with your neighbors, share best practices, and form partnerships with other local leaders.
Beyond networking, the Chamber acts as a powerful advocate for your business. As Menifee continues to expand its infrastructure, the Chamber ensures that the voices of local business owners are heard at the city level. They handle the heavy lifting of civic advocacy so you can focus on running your day-to-day operations.
The People Behind the Logo
An organization is only as strong as the people leading it. After a season of transition, the Chamber is currently experiencing a massive resurgence under the leadership of President and CEO Katie Luna.
Katie brought a fresh, highly focused vision to the Chamber’s mission. She immediately prioritized outreach to underserved businesses and emerging entrepreneurs, ensuring everyone has a seat at the table. Her dedication has not gone unnoticed. In July of 2025, Menifee Mayor Ricky Estrada and the Menifee City Council honored Katie as Citizen of the Month.
When you engage with the Chamber, you are not dealing with a distant corporate entity. You are working with dedicated locals, like Katie and her growing team, who genuinely care about the economic health of our city.
Working alongside Katie, the Chamber also has two other pivotal stakeholders: her Member Engagement Coordinator, Damon Hunneman, and Marketing and Events Coordinator, Andrew Balisi.

Damon has been with the Chamber since April of 2025 and has an extensive background as a Business Development Manager, and previously was a Business Relationship Manager for the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber. Damon has received multiple recognitions from our community, including his most recent accomplishment of being chosen for the Vocational Service Award from the Menifee Rotary Club on March 20th 2026. When Damon is not connecting business leaders and building economic opportunity for our city, he is usually at home with his wife, Ashley, and their 1-year-old daughter.
Andrew was hired in December 2025 as the Chamber’s Marketing and Events Coordinator. Andrew was a Communications Specialist and Public Relations Coordinator before his new role with the Chamber. He is currently undertaking the project of revamping the Menifee Valley Chamber’s brand identity and messaging to help it better align with the new improvements and change in leadership.
